Vegetable parcels on the braai
Show you braai skills by adding these parcels on the grid with the chops or chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 tray oyster mushrooms
- 1 medium red onion
- 7, 5 ml (1½ tsp)fresh thyme
- 250 ml (1 cup) fresh beansprouts
- 3/4 cup sliced baby marrow
- 75 ml (5 tbsp) soy sauce
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 5 ml (1 tsp) honey
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) ground fresh ginger
- 3 ml (½ tsp) cardamom powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- Spekko India Gate Classic Basmati Rice to serve
Method
- Roughly chop the mushrooms and slice the onion.
- Cut 4 x 30 cm square heavy duty foil sheets
- Lay the mushroom, baby marrow, onions and beansprouts in the centre of a 4 foil sheets.
- Fold up the sides of each of the 4 squares.
- Mix together the soy sauce with the remaining ingredients.
- Add this mixture to each of the 4 parcels.
- Seal completely and bake over hot coals for 8-10 minutes.
- Removed and cut open the foil parcels.
- Serve with Spekko India Gate Classic Basmati Rice
