Garlicky Prawns on Rice

    1,5 – 2 kg                    large prawns

    90 ml (6 tbsp)              butter

    1                                  red chilli, seeds removed and chopped finely

    3                                  garlic cloves, crushed

    2                                  lemons, cut into wedges

    4 cups                         cooked Spekko Long Grain Parboiled Rice

    salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


    1. Remove the veins from the prawns, but keep the heads and tails intact. Rinse well under running cold water, then dry with paper towels.
    2. Melt the butter in a large pan and add the chilli and garlic. Add the prawns in batches and cook on high heat for about 3 – 5 minutes until just pink.
    3. Season and serve immediately on Spekko Rice
