500 g pork steaks
1 small onion, peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
30 ml (2 tbsp) chopped fresh coriander
30 m (2 tbsp) chopped fresh parsley
30 ml (2 tbsp) lemon juice
30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
a sprinkle of cayenne pepper
a sprinkle of turmeric
3 cups cooked Spekko Royal Umbrella Jasmine Rice
fresh coriander leaves
1.Place steaks in a single layer in a shallow dish.
2.Mix together the onion, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, fresh coriander, parsley lemon juice and oil. Pound to form a paste mixture
3.With a knife make holes in the steak. Spread paste mixture on and into the steaks and turn over to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
4.Preheat the grill and grill steaks for 5 to 6 minutes. Turn, brush with remaining paste mixture and grill for another 5 – 6 minutes.
5.Serve with cooked Spekko Royal Umbrella Jasmine Rice.
6.Garnish with coriander.
