Brown Rice “Padodas”
These rice chilli bites are perfect for lunchboxes or to serve as snacks with drinks.
Ingredients
210 g cooked Spekko Saman Brown Rice
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 medium green chillies, deseeded and chopped
15 ml (1 tbsp) chopped coriander
150 g flour
15 ml sunflower oil
210 ml water
sun flower oil for frying
Method
1.Blend together the cooked rice, flour, onions, chilli and coriander. Add salt to taste and 15 ml hot sunflower oil.
2.Add 210 ml cold water and mix to a thick batter.
3.Heat oil till hot, add dessert spoons full of the mixture and fry till golden brown. Drain on kitchen towel and serve hot with a sauce of your choice.
